Yeeaaahhhh....
Those shoes are NOT H-O-T. They aren't even lukewarm. They're old lady. Totally old lady. The buckles are ENORMOUS. They are too big. AND they had some stains and marks on them.
So back they go. We were in Alexandria yesterday to visit Chris's brother so I brought them back to the store. The woman there started with attitude, something about the Internet store/form/exchange for another pair of shoes/yadda yadda yadda. I said I don't need more shoes, I bought them because the other pair I bought was retarded, and that I would just pick a bunch of bridal junk to equal $25 so I can get the rest of my money back (An easy feat when a bejeweled hot short costs $22). After selecting said hot short and a pair of Heavenly Heelz, I proceeded to show her the stains and stuff on the shoes and she told me that I "had to expect that with wedding shoes, with people trying them on and they're all white." So I replied that if I had paid the regular price of $325 for those Kate Spades and they came with the rust and dirt stains on them, that I'd be pissed. Something I said was right because she gave me the OK for a full refund and I didn't have to buy the bejeweled hot short.

shoe fetish...
I just bought another pair of wedding shoes. Ugh. But before you say, "You HAVE a pair already...what are you doing?" Listen up. The pair I have is wierd. The back part is too big and the toe straps are too small. I'm sitting here trying to stretch them out (at the same time, my heel comes out of the back. I bought them because they are silk wedges. I feel like I need wedges because I'm not 100% in heels as it is, plus, we'll be on unsolid ground for the ceremony. So, tell me now, how could I possibly resist these Kate Spades for $99???

Got a lot done!
As I write this, I'm watching this DIY show on wedding planning. They're talking about using the net for wedding planning like it's some new idea. Lame.
This weekend, we got a lot done! We met with the caterer, florist, venue manager and makeup artist. We tasted and picked our desserts...yum! I saw a sample of our centerpieces, which needed work at the time, but were later rectified to look really great. I got my makeup trial done, and never felt so purdy! We also nailed down ALL the details of the rehearsal dinner, including the menu. All that's left is to book that.
My wedding ring should be arriving soon, and as I see the blinking light that tells me there's a package waiting for me at the desk, it may be here already!
At this point, I'm kinda done caring about all this party planning, and I just want to savor the fact that I'm marrying Chris.
